As in UK English 'getting it off' means, errr, to have sexual intercourse,
this raises some very interesting questions about the 'baby blessing'
ceremony -- would this be a lovely pagan ritual complete with open
woodlands, a fire to jump over and sacrificial goats?  If so, I imagine that
the GV effect would only add to the occasion.
