I am always amazed and try to always remember, that
even if we only affect one person's opinion, it can be far reaching. Look
how many lives you helped starting from just one mom. What a warm feeling
that gives me. Gives more concern too to the fact that there is so much
misinformation out there as well. It just takes one person with one idea,
and they tell two friends and so on and so on and so on.

                                Subject: Freebies from hospitals

My cousin had her first baby about 3 years
ago in Springfield Ill, St Johns
Hospital. I was the only BF mom in my
family but I persuaded her to try it.
Her freebies included a manual breastpump
and an insulated bag with "blue
ice" and a load of children books. I'm not
sure if this hospital is listed
                                "Baby Friendly."
She nursed for 2+ years and may still be
nursing, I've not heard form her
in a while. Even long distance support can
be/is beneficial. She in turn
supported her younger sister to BF her first
baby about 9 months later. The
younger cousin nursed for 1+ years. They
have nursed each other babies when
                                needed. Wouldn't that be great?
