I was recently contacted by a mom whose baby is due around the end of May.
Through ultrasound they were able to determine that the baby has multiple
birth defects including two holes in his heart, club foot, an extra digit
on the other foot and cleft lip and palate. I would appreciate information
from anyone who has worked with moms under these circumstances. I have
consulted many books on the subject but would appreciate some personal
input. This is a particularly heart breaking case as the mom's first child
was killed in an accident last October. I know that this information is
somewhat limited but the parents have asked me to help them be prepared for
what they might be able to expect. Any suggestions etc. would be greatly
appreciated.
