Dear LACTNETers,

I've posted elsewhere about this and got a few responses (Thanks
Georgeanne!) but I thought I'd post here too, as what I'm looking for,
have not yet found.

Last July a group mom lost her full term newborn daughter, just 11 hours
old, due to Streptoccus Group D Infection. Yes, Strep "D", NOT Strep "B".
It's a rare strep, and since then she has found out some info, even
though there's not much out there. What my friend is trying to find out,
is: Is there anyone else out there that this has happened to?

She's volunteered to give all the info and records she has to a research
lab in N.Y.C. that just deals with strep bacteria, but she still wants
more.

So, if there's anyone out there who has dealt with this rare strep,
please let me know as much as you can. I would really appreciate it.

LLLove, Joanne Kondak, LLLL & nervous mommy because my 6 year old
daughter is having hernia surgery tomorrow morning :-(
