This is it. Use of a soft baby carrier increased maternal sensitivity and 
security of child-mother attachment. Very important research- particularly 
for at risk groups.

Anisfeld, E., V. Casper, et al. (1990). "Does infant carrying promote 
attachment? An experimental study of the effects of increased physical 
contact on the development of attachment." Child Development 61(5): 
1617-1627.
