Jan, you are absolutely right.  I spend almost as much time (when I am  
doula-ing) teaching correct bottlefeeding techniques (including pacing) as I do  
with everything else.  I sincerely think the exam should include questions  on 
correct  bottlefeeding technique.  If we are "infant feeding  specialists" then 
we should know how to teach this skill as well.  I'm  really tired of seeing 
kids being orally assaulted, overfed, choked, forced to  finish that last 
ounce (because that lipil is soooo expensive, don't want to  throw it out), 
aspirating fluid, vomiting, crying so hard they look like little  red beets, all 
because their tummies hurt so badly.
