Is the mother taking low dose birth control pills? I know that would be
a bad combination with smoking, but may help with the PCO and would NOT
be incompatible with breastfeeding.  I'm not sure it would help in any
way with the problem of abnormal amounts of prolactin (high or low).
Also do we all agree it is OK to take low dose OCs while breastfeeding?
Did you all see the JAMA article talking about mothers who developed
diabetes (who were also breastfeeding) after being put on progestin only
contraceptives?
