Is this perhaps a good moment to point out that breast pumps, bottles,
bottle nipples and pacifiers are by no means necessary baby gear? I
certainly didn't need any of those items with my four children, and it makes
me sad to think that people consider these necessities. A great way to avoid
not only plastic-related risks but many other risks is to simply breastfeed.
Dear Friends:
    Teresa speaks the truth.
Unfortunately, many women separate from their babies to return to work.
It will take a huge societal shift for women to refuse to leave their babies.
Returning to work is deemed "productive" in the States, not having or staying
home with a baby. Even after talking about how much money a woman will really
bring home after taking out for childcare, taxes, transportation, clothing and
other incidental expenses, most choose to go back to where they have their
social network, their income, their status and their perceived value.
