We have a tube fed baby in the Special Care Nursery with a high billi. The baby feeds while under the lights. Most of the nurses put the container with the EBM in the crib with the baby. One nurse, who used to be the nurse manager, worries that this might have a negative effect on the milk and places the container with the milk outside of the crib so the lights are not directly on it throughout the entire feed. She has asked me to post on this. Is there any evidence that the lights will have a negative effect on the milk? Reply on or off thelist. Thanks. Marilyn
