Our Lady of La Leche  ( Mother of the Milk) is a great example how the
Catholic Church has throughout history supported breast feeding much like
all of the religious art work depicting breast feeding,ie. Madonna and
Child, that was probably commissioned by the chuch.
The Srine of Our Lady Of La Leche is in St. Augustine Fla.  I believe it
was the first shrine in the US started by Spanish priests.  The Statue is
of the Madonna breast feeding the infant Jesus.  Attached is their link
