Given the baby was
born in the USA, I am sure that mom and baby were over-hydrated at birth.
This inflates birth weight (and increases loss).





 Can anyone provide me with references related to this theory? And I'm also open to being schooled about the mechanism of transfer of maternal IV fluid to the infant.
