In my understanding, the 15 min per day doesn't have to be all at one time,
or even EVERY day. How about several small exposures between car & building
& back again while mom's running errands? Sun screen shouldn't be necessary
for that kind of exposure. It's also easy to avoid the intense sun between
10am and 4pm. Sunset in the summer is around 8:30pm and, unlike most of the
US, we DON'T do Daylight Savings Time. Sun IS an issue for us here in the
great Sonoran Desert of SW USA and NW Mexico. The times my kids got a
sunburn were while playing, swimming, or on school outings.
