Since APNO has cortisone in it, I'd be hesitant to recommend it to a mom 
if she isn't even having problems!  I mean, why fix something that isn't 
broken?  I agree, I'd offer to help her with latch first, then try some 
lanolin... when I had my son and had some small cracks, the LC who 
helped me suggested plain polysporin ointment and that helped me more 
than the lanolin did.  But, I wouldn't want to put these other 
medications on nipples if there wasn't a bigger problem... certainly not 
if there was no problem!
