THANK YOU PAT! Someone needed to respond realistically to this situation. I
know as bf zealots we are more than eager to help mom succeed, but there is
more at stake here than feeding the baby. Besides, the whole situation sounds
doomed because this mother will probably be so exhausted and anxious that she
will neither be able to adequately bf or absorb the lecture! Instead of
finding all thte ways to make this "situation" work, we could be encouraging
her to find a way to postpone it and just stay home with the baby. We need to
remind women that yes they CAN do it all, just not all at once!
