Yes, my thoughts on this include:

I am glad that formula is being "improved." If indeed, it is monitored well,
and better products come from it.

There will always be babies who for one reason or another will not be
breastfed. I am glad to know there are better choices for these babies than:
Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Sprite or other soft drinks
Kool-aid, Juice drinks, and other syrupy, sugary concoctions
Iced Tea, rice water, undiluted or poorly formulated goats milk, cows milk,
or soy drinks.

In the long run, if better formulas were available with a prescription only,
maybe we could eventually have the majority of women breastfeeding.

But I do not believe there will ever be a time when substitutes are not
needed, even if for only a tiny percentage.

I also think that it is the marketing of the product, and not the product
itself which is the "enemy."
