Re      : Oral use of clotrimazole

The only oral preparation of clotrimazole is Mycelex troche,  which are not
intended for babies.

I am still uncomfortable with the oral use of clotrimazole, particularly in
infants.  In adults,  it has been reported to increase liver enzymes(AST) in
15% of users.  I think this is simply too high.  Further, the risk of elevated
liver enzymes while using fluconazole is extremely rare and generally due to
other co-added drugs.
