Some people seem to thrive being surrounded by friends and family during birth and after - the photos in this post are incredible. This woman gave birth to her second daughter in a room full of people, discovered that her daughter has Down Syndrome and her friends and family were there to support her - the doctor did ask everyone to leave the room when he gave the diagnosis - but they were all there for her. It's a heartwrenchingly beautiful story. http://www.kellehampton.com/2010/01/nella-cordelia-birth-story.html
