PLEASE let's not assume every woman who decides to do this is being
misinformed and choosing it out of ignorance. I met a woman whose family
history (mother, grandmother, 2 sisters) was horrific. The choice was not
taken lightly. The alternatives, to her, were to live in terror when,
every month or so, she found a thickening in her breast, then went in for
biopsy, then waited for results, all the while trying to appear normal and
supportive to her husband and two daughters.

The choice was, she told me, not that difficult. she wanted a normal life
again with NORMAL stressors.

What would I have done in her shoes? I don't know, especially if I planned
to have more children that I wanted to breastfeed. But I can understand
her choice...
