I feel very badly that you were made to feel so inadequate.  I wonder why the
nurse left you alone with an unstable infant?  In our neonatal setting a
nonnurse is never left with a sick infant.  For your information there are
30cc in an ounce.  15cc is exactly 1/2 ounce.  Given the information you just
gave us it would seem that you gave almost the exact amount the doctor
ordered.  Often immature infants have trouble stabilizing their glucose.  I
would wonder why the baby's IV was discontinued, if his blood sugar was still
unstable.  I don't think your one feeding  was the cause of this infant's
blood glucose instability.
