Nikkie, hold your head up high and realize that you acted like a professional-
People have millions of reasons why they might connect with one person, feel threatened by someone else, etc. Sometimes they are as small and subconcious as that you reminded her of her third grade teacher who pressured her! If we blamed ourseves for all these quirks, we would never accomplish anything. You did *yours*.

All the posts made me start thinking once again about a conversation I had with someone. It was about a mother going to a different LC and repeating horror stories or a horror care plan about the first LC she had seen.
We all need to realize one person's perceptions cannot always be trusted. To use this example, this mother probably would tell the story over that you were pushy, threatening, stress causing, etc, blah, blah, blah. Us, knowing you (or even not knowing you!) realize that you were working for her wellfare, wanted her to suceed, and acted professionally. She had issues with you. We know that. They were HERS, not YOURS.
Just a thought to keep in mind whenever you hear someone report something to you that seems crazy, unprofessional, etc. etc. There are always two sides to something, and sometimes they look as different as night and day!
Warm Regards,
Jessica Billowitz, IBCLC
