I cannot imagine what the pediatrician is talking about.  Breastfeeding
babies have strong smelling sweat?

I would look at the metabolic situation.  If the baby were perfectly content
and all the rest, I would not, but given the baby's crying, I think at least
a metabolic screen would be reasonable to do.  Most babies with metabolic
problems don't have a family history.
