what i find so infuriating is that anti-breastfeeding propaganda tries to use feminism to justify the decision not to breastfeed. hello? are we still stuck in the 80s with those horrific shoulder pads??? are we still afraid to be women? HOW liberating and empowering is it to be paying a corporation (mostly run and profited by men) to provide for you what you can provide for yourself? i just don't get how they justify bottlefeeding as a feminist symbol of power... these women clearly define themselves by what they can achieve in a male-dominated construct... again... giving up a part of their feminine power (the ability to nurture, feed and mother their child) to take on the vestiges of male virility... powerful career with big salary....

and then to only think of female empowerment in totally American terms too... and disregard the destruction on women and children's lives all over the world at the hands of the big formula co's....

And that these journalist always write for liberal publications, perpetuating the myth that this is forward thinking, educated, and anti-sexist ideology...

grrrrr...

an unliberated throwback (not!) who breastfeeds hours on end and so apparently doesn't contribute to the world in any meaningful way . . ..
