Several people (actually MANY MANY!) have been attempting to do different
things with lactnet, such as getting the names of people who are on, or
trying to access the archives, etc.

PLEASE remember. Those are COMMANDS. Commands must go to the machine
(listserv), NOT people. People = lactnet. Machine = listserv.

When you send to people, the co-mothers get it but the machine does not and
thus will not reply appropriately. And, after a while (sigh) the
co-mothers get ticked that people are not reading their welcome messages or
referring to them before sending such commands.

Could you all please be a bit more careful when sending such messages? We
have made every effort to make this as easy for you as possible (see the
brief review of common commands that appear at the front of every digest,
etc.

That welcome message has a purpose. One is to help you. Please review it.
Thank you.
