In regard to those mothers who feel that their sleep will be compromised if
their baby sleeps with them. Have they tried it? I am aware that for some
mothers they are not comfortable with the idea.
In my experience, I have found that I do get more sleep, reassured that my
baby is safe, find that I practically breast feed in my sleep. Both baby and
mother have their needs met. This is all done with me doing shift work as well.
I am not the only one that finds this so, many of my co workers and clients
find it help ease one of the pressures of a family and working life.
Another thought, what ever happened to meeting the baby's needs, by doing so
making it easier for mother and baby. Instead of trying to make the baby fit
into mould, that generally doesn't work(baby's don't wear watches or read
books from experts yet). Jodie
