My best friend's totally breastfed grandbaby had rotavirus a couple weeks
ago.  She is one year & her parents were exhausted with the feverish,
unhappy baby.  She wasn't dehydrated & pedi sent them home with the
diagnosis & advise to wait it out.  Guess some breastfed babies can get
it.  It was being passed around in the playgroup.  The babies were all
breastfed.   Pedi said that it is highly contagious.
