Hi, to save $$ at our hospital we use volu-feeds and a nipple to cap the
volu-feed , BUT we first take the plastic cover off  the nipple and place that
directly over the volu-feed opening( the inside of the plastic cover is clean)
then we screw the nipple on over the plastic wrap. This prvides an airtight seal
as well as protecting from leakage. Hope this is helpful
