I understand that the first company (M...J...) to put this new additive in
their ABM has completely discontinued making their original 'basic' 20
calorie ABM and replaced it with their 'new basic' 20 calorie ABM with the
new additive. Our WIC agency carries this brand. Ordinarily, their policy
is to wait at least a year when a new version of ABM is introduced before
considering adding it to their client offerings. That can't happen now.
They are forced to carry it because their contract with this co is still
running and the 'new basic' is the only product available for that
category. I've seen it in the RTF form in our hosp. I'm sure it's also
replaced in the powdered form.

It's also funny to note that these "top two" are competing with each other
saying their new additive is better than the new additive used by the
'other guys'. They both buy from Martek. Do you think there's any chance
Martek has two versions? Which of the "top two" gets the "best"? If there
IS a "best". :-/
