I´ve noticed 2 different things.
1 Very large babies (over 4.5kg) indeed seem to want to bf more. Might this 
in some cases be because the mom has a mild unnoticed pregnancy diabetes and 
the baby instinctively wants to get sugar in?
2 Very small babies (small for gestational age) seem to be bf more eagerly: I 
explain this to moms as that the baby has had a bit too little in utero and 
is catching up, or I describe these babies as fighters or survival specialists

Would also like to read other observations/opinions on this or perhaps 
research if available
