This is a 'heads up' to UK LactNetters.

SMA have just started a television advertising campaign, featuring a
father holding a six month old baby and eulogising about his wife/the
mother, with clear shots of used formula bottles and a packed cupboard
of SMA powdered milk.

They have labelled the packets as "follow-on milk 6-24 months" in order
to 'get away' under the follow-on milk exceptions in the UK.
Previously, follow-on has only had advertising for "12 months plus".

The advert is a masterpiece of ideological construction and media
maipulation. I have already complained to the ASA.

Of course, there is no connection between this new campaign, and the
fuss over Jordan/OK/SMA a couple of weeks ago....

Clearly time to close the 'follow-on milk' loophole in the UK.
