Dear Friends,
I have a client who is having trouble getting her milk to flow with her
baby and her pump. She had breast implants, went from an A to a C, now a
DD for sure, 9 years ago. They did this against the muscle in the chest
but went through the lower areola, she has peri-areolar scars from about
4 to 8 on a clock face, to put in the implants.
She reports her breasts feel numb. We did some hand expression today and
got some milk flowing, thanks Maya, but it was still uncomfortable. We
are going to try warmth before feeding or pumping, massage, Rescue
Remedy lozenges, and acupuncture to help with circulation and nerve
functioning. She has plenty of milk, just can't get it out. We are going
to have her checked for a hyper thyroid, thank Lisa, as well.
I was thinking about magnesium because it helps with relaxing the muscles.
Other ideas? What is going on with the oxytocin spray? I think this
would be great for this mom.
Thank you!
