Just to confirm, since Linda's incredulity made me wonder if I hadn't explained
properly in message of 31/12  - diamorphine (heroin) is indeed used for pain
relief during labour in over 50% of Scottish prims.  Linda's response implies
that it is rarely (never?) used in the US - is this correct?  Is it used
anywhere else?  I would love to know -
