I have enjoyed reading the "other side" of this article that some of you have shared today. I don't want to rant about this article. Is it one-sided? Sure. But the mental health of moms, their perception of how things are going, etc., is so, so important. Part of my job, when necessary, is helping moms transition from what they hoped for to what reality is. And sometimes that may or may not include breastfeeding--and that's okay. I love love love breastfeeding. But I love love love mothering, too, and breastfeeding is one *part* of mothering. I like the statement in the article to not throw the mother out with the breastmilk. :)
