Gail, what you observe is very likely to be so!  Breastfeeding is not just a
physical act but a psycho-biological process, even, for some, spiritual,
sexual, etc etc.  We have to ditch the Cartesian dualistic habit of
considering just the physical parameters when understanding what happens.  I
wish more doctors would get into the swing of this!!  Keep up the
observation for us, thanks.
