I've written my letter and will circulate your request to Australian 
family/friends.

I wonder if Lactnet friends could help with a couple of references:

1) The actual amount, and a citation, on the costs of any of the infant 
illnesses exacerbated by artificial feeding.  I seem to recall a paper 
**from Australia**, and this figure was in the billions of dollars for 
diarrhoea, respiratory illness and otitis media alone.

2) Any citation for the effects of marketing on parents.

3) The citation for the Australian breastfeeding rates quoted.
