I have been cheerleading for breastfeeding. I have just finished a month of
outpatient acute clinic and I've been cheering on breastfeeding moms.

Example: Mom and a 5 month old comes in with a cold - I ask "are you
breastfeeding?" Mom says yes and I say "WONDERFUL!" I explain that I have
no magic medicine for a virus, but that mom is making antibodies to this
cold in her milk and she's giving them to the baby - the best thing
possible. Then we chat a moment about breastfeeding and at the close of the
visit I tell mom she's doing a great job.
