Dear Lactnetters

Happy to announce that the five candidates at my hospital all received their
IBCLC this week. In the hope that there will be more staff interested in
the pursuit , the hospital librarian is adding the IBCLC and IBCLE
information to the library "career development " section. She agreed to
add more titles to what is now available relative to Human Lactation. She
will try to provide us a Lactation Consultant corner. Are we better to keep
the information mainstream and not have our own area? Now is the time for
input .

Please let me know titles that you would have included. It felt good when
she gave me a handful of the cards that ask for titles and publishers.

If you could produce the wish list what would you submit.? ( We have the
JHL and most other Journals ) What would be the top ten books that you
would include especially that someone might not buy for themselves?

We have in the past had a Jellife and Jellife Human Lactation (it walked).
Should that be replaced.? I am so happy to be on this project . It feels
good to give dignity to this promotion by having the library staff
interested in proving this information and materiel in the medical library .
(This facility has Hill Burton funding so I think that make is accessible to
the public not just hospital staff.)

TIA
With kindest regards,
