I often try to persuade mom to try the side lying
position; maybe post op day 1. I do a lot of
splinting of the abd. w/ folded bath blankets as the
sometimes fit just right. I've even constructed a
"table" of sorts out of bath blankets for the sitting
mom to rest her breasts and the baby. I once saw a
mom use the over bed table to BF and this is what gave
me the idea. I also think if we go into these
situations w/ a positive attitude; business as usual,
the moms will stay more calm. I've been thinking of
some sort of sling contraption. What have any of you
seen out there?
