Well, a well known children's catalog, the Rig-T Sta-t, opened a store in
our new (humongous) nearby mall. On the door of one room was a sign that
said "changing starion and nursing room." Delighted, I walked in to nurse
my son only to find myself in the bathroom! Now, it was a large, clean
bathroom with the changing area a good distance from the toilet/sink area.
There were many niceties for changing - free wipes (in a warmer, too!),
free disposable diapers, a fold-down changing station. But there was no
chair to nurse in, only a cube-type footstool to perch on. After we had
finished nursing, I spoke to the manager (You wouldn't want to eat YOUR
dinner on the TOILET, would you???). She replied "Oh, we're getting in a
*glider rocker* for a nursing chair, it's just not in yet"!!! I thanked
her and praised the store for it's consideration of nursing moms. Now I
can't wait till the chair is in!!! How long is too long to lounge in a
nursing room in a nice, comfy chair......?

Linda Volkovitsch, who is finding many advantages to living near the second
largest mall in the US!
