Jennifer,
     I was interested in your caster oil pack for the abscess.  Down
Maine when we were in the 'milk' business we used to treat  abscessed
utters, dung forks through the foot, anything, with a good 'hot' soaking
in epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) and a daily layer of clean salt pork
bound on.  I'd used the same cure for the 2nd abscess on my daughter's
leg due to infected mosquito bites years ago.  The first one the dr. got
hold of with a knife.  The second one healed without a scar in a few of
days.
     Hadn't thought about it lately.  I'd like to know how you make the
caster oil pack & potato poultice.
