Thanks for all the feedback on this!

Mom did see an IBCLC at the hospital where she delivered. Latch was
assessed as being fine, but to my knowledge, baby's oral anatomy and suck
were not assessed.

I completely agree that she's gotten bad medical counsel at more than one
turn in her ordeal (both for her and for the baby). She is aware of this
and is seeking other professionals to help sort out the problems that have
stemmed from this. (The steroid shot was administered by an ER doc; the same
doc also prescribed percoset for the pain, as well as the two antibiotics).

Baby is having an ultrasound and xrays today to rule out pyloric stenosis.
Results should be back sometime today or tomorrow - I'll keep the list
posted.

Thanks again to those who sent referrals - much appreciated! Mom is looking
at them and is choosing a couple to contact.

The help you ladies have offered on this has been invaluable so far. We are
really looking forward to this little guy feeling better soon, and hopefully
getting mom's supply going again. Thank you!

Amy
