ANYONE considering private practice should consider Linda Smith's book "The
Lactation Consultant in Private Practice" MANDATORY reading.  In full
disclosure I will say that I wrote the chapter on legal issues, but I was
paid a token sum for that long ago and the only person who will be enriched
by the sale is Linda (who'll get a royalty) and the newbie, who will get
boundless, priceless amounts of advice from 20 or so leaders/mentors in our
field.  (If you are an ILCA member you'll get a discount when you buy it
from teh ILCA bookstore)
