I agree with what Melissa Brancho wrote about what to call "pre-IBCLCs".
I am currently enrolled in the BSC LC Home Study course. When I graduate,
I plan to call myself a lactation consultant but will make it clear that
I am not yet Board certified.

I think it is simple and clear to call non-Board certified people
lactation consultants and of course those that are can use IBCLC.
