For the many of you gone to ILCA this past week and were also set to no mail:

ABC news ran a story on the "Growing Kids  God's Way" and PREP curriculums by
Gary and Anne Marie Ezzo last Thursday night on the Peter Jenning's show,
'World News Tonight'. It is worth reviewing for all of you who don't know all
of the issues. I have a written transcript of the story that I will make
available to anyone who emails me, and it is also possible to obtain the
audio from the world wide web; Rachel Hamlet posted that info to Lactnet a
few days ago. (Rachel; us AOL users have not been able to get it, however).
 IMO, the story was very even-handed, stating both sides. It shows the "good"
of the Ezzos program, but also highlights the controversy. Much more could
have been said, of course, but then it would not have been considered an
objective piece.

Along the same lines, WORLD magazine, a Christian version of Time, ran a
story also on this topic that was published June 1.  I also have the text of
this story if anyone is interested.  Since the program is being used by an
estimated 4300 churches plus in and outside of the United States, it behooves
those of us in the lactation profession to be familiar with the material and
the issues so that we can best help the mothers who may come to us.
