how do you do the tongue lifting? finger or tongue depressor?
What about using a washcloth wrapped finger?

Subject: Re: [LACTNET] sore nipples after frenotomy

Tongue lifting should start at the second feeding after the frenotomy,
as long as there has not been problems with bleeding. The goal is to
prevent the frenotomy site from contracting or the edges from healing
back together. Since scar tissue is less elastic, healing/scarring will
make things worse.
