Judy,
Cervical cancer has more to do with the number of sexual partners and the age
of first intercourse than with whether the partner is circumcised or not.
Among celibate nuns, the cervical cancer rate is virtually zero.  Among women
with early and multiple partners it is high.  These confounders were not
controlled for in those ancient cervical cancer and circ studies.
        It is difficult to walk the line between respect for culture and
religion vs. advocacy for human rights.  It is wonderful to have this forum to
discuss these issues in a spirit of mutual respect.
