Tina Williams requests input on a mother whose milk supply was dramatically
reduced after use of cabbage leaves plus heating pad for engorgement.
Tina, it would help to know the following:
How often was, and is, baby feeding?
Was (and is) technique effective as verified by a qualified observer during
a meal? (Sometimes engorgement reaches pathological levels due to
infrequent and/or ineffective feeds, and this would cause a decrease in
production regardless of whatever treatment is used for the discomfort.)
How old is the baby now, i.e. how long has low supply been a problem?
awaiting more info,
