Pauline:  You are talking about 2 different heart medications. Chemical
name sotalol, trade name Beta-pace is the 1st medication you mention and
propranolol, chemical name, trade name Inderal the 2nd.  Both are beta-
blockers, with Inderal usually used to treat hypertension and Beta-pace
used to treat atrial arrhythmias.
Inderal is L2 according to Hale, Beta-pace L3, as I mentioned in my
previous post.  The one to be concerned about is Beta-pace for the reasons
I previously described.
