Pacifiers and honey! Yikes! What an unholy combination.
Neither are necessary, both are dangerous.

(BTW, I've been digging up research on pacifiers for a lecture I'm giving
later this month. There's a LOT published on the dangers on pacifiers, and
not much on the alleged benefits. Stay tuned.)
