Chayn,
Evidence is a two way street. I am looking forward to seeing the be references offered here that will be very helpful. But where is her evidence that she is correct? What are the long term implications of such changes? My guess is that such evidence is less clear, and will depend on other factors as long term implications often do.

Gut flora, microbiome - This is a fascinating, relatively new area of study. How much data do we need in order to change policy? If we start with the understanding that breastfeeding is normal (the control group in research terms), then the burden of proof shifts to formula being the intervention that needs to be justified by the research.
