Darlene, how blessed you are to have never known a doctor who would
refuse to write a "script" for donor milk!

Unfortunately this is not always the case. We have discussed this before
on-list.

Here in the Deep South, USA we often have difficulties obtaining a Yeast
"script" for dyads...after all, Miconazole is available over the
counter....

Donor Milk? I requested that we include a staff person from the MMBA
for our next Health Professionals Seminar, and nearly was laughed out of
the room. Many of our doctors still won't agree that Human milk is
superior. With the exception of one MD, IBCLC in our area, I doubt there
are any who would just write a prescription for donor milk because the
parents requested it.

Are you near to a Milk Bank? Is that why the doctors in your area are
more informed? Or are you getting them to attend educational meetings
and seminars? If the latter, we could sure use some suggestions..... Our
first seminar we had 3 MDs, the second we had 22, but many of them only
attended the luncheon.
